Just before noon on Saturday, March 27th, Station 27 and surrounding mutual aid partners were dispatched to the 1200 block of Markley Street for a reported dwelling fire. As units were responding, Montgomery County communications reported receiving multiple calls for smoke coming from the residence. Captain 27 arrived to find a 3 story middle of the row with fire showing from the first floor rear. Crews stretched several lines to control and extinguish the fire. No injuries were reported and all units cleared the scene within 2 hours. Units assisting included Engine 56 (Upper Merion), Quint 61 (Norriton), Engine 32 (Goodwill), Quint 55 (Conshohocken), Ladder 43 (Plymouth), and Tower 53 (Lower Providence).
