The Norristown Fire Department is honored to be selected as one of the next 100 departments in the Nation, to participate in the rollout of Version 1 of the National Emergency Response Information System (NERIS). Our department’s involvement will play a crucial role in modernizing fire and emergency data collection across the country.

NERIS will introduce new tools and resources to enhance emergency response, improve data-driven decision-making, and streamline incident reporting. Our department’s selection is based on several key factors, including department composition, geographic representation, and our commitment to adopting new technologies that will strengthen the fire service’s ability to protect communities.
