The NFD commends Firefighters Murphy, Scott and McIntrye (np) on receiving commendations for their actions on January 9th when in the dark of night, they entered deep waters of Stoney Creek, transversed down a steep embankment, swam 70’ in 47 degree water and removed a victim from the water. Their collective effort is in keeping with the highest traditions of the fire service and reflects great credit upon themselves and the Norristown Fire Department
