The Norristown Fire Department mourns the passing of Richard E Seltzer, former Asst. Fire Marshal of the Norristown Fire Department and former President of the Hancock Fire Company.

A statement from the Hancock Fire Company stated:

It is with deep sadness the Hancock Fire Company announces the passing of past President Richard E. Seltzer Sr. Rick was a member for 49 years. He also held several other positions, including Asst. Fire Marshal for the Norristown Fire Department. The viewing will be held on Friday, June 2nd from 10am - 11:50am at the Boyd Horrox Givnish of East Norriton, 200 W. Germantown Pike. His funeral service will begin at 12 noon. Interment will be at Montgomery Baptist Cemetery in Colmar, Pa.
